| something I have done to my 98 accord (daily driver) is I have wired into the reverse lights a separate pair of bulbs under the rear bumper (you can't see it from looking at the back of the car) aimed slightly at an angle toward the ground. It lights up the curbs, etc at night, but it doesn't really throw the light in the distance. The stock reverse lights, FWIW, suck. It's just not a design that was intended to produce a lot of light. I drive a decent amount at night (and park just as much) so wherever I can brighten things up, I'm game.
